“The Legendary Quest of Zott the Warrior” is a digital animated comic with original music.
In the world of Guiaterra, there is peace. The monsters have all been slain, war has ended, and music powers a nascent industrial revolution. In theory, everyone should be satisfied.
However, Ella, a nonverbal 14-year-old girl, lives a difficult life. Every day, she works to care for her abusive mother in a destitute home. She daydreams of a simpler time, such as when the legendary, sword-wielding โVictor Godfriedโ fought against the โshiftersโ, people that could transform into a monstrous form.
One day, while working at her job at the local train station, Ella runs into a bit of trouble, and is rescued by a rambunctious 17-year-old boy named Max. Heโs armed with a sword and Lefty, a mechanized, music-powered gauntlet that can shoot out a retractable fist, and dreams of embarking on a legendary quest with the heroic moniker: Zott the Warrior. However, despite his enthusiasm, heโs not the strongest fighter in the world, his inventions barely work, and either way, the world doesnโt seem to need adventuring heroes anymore.
So what do they decide to do? They team up to go searching for a villain to face. They start by challenging some local thieves, but itโs not long before they do actually discover a true horror lurking in the shadows–a darkness that even those looking for danger would be terrified to oppose.
Suddenly, theyโre faced with a quest that now has legendary purpose, but the two would-be heroes arenโt even close to ready. Will Ella and Max be able to stop this threat from destroying the world as they know it? And even if they can, will doing so fulfill the purpose theyโre seeking? Or will they succumb to their fears, destined to never find out?
